The silicon nanowires are extruded by a metal mask with MACE (Metal Assisted Chemical Etching) technique and covered by 40 nm of gold deposition.

These arrays of SiNWs are used as Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy platforms to increase the Raman signal by plasmonic enhancement.
